Jaybird Bluebuds X2 Reviews – Is There Any Competition For This?

Jaybird Bluebuds X2

Jaybird is one of the leading names in sports-related wireless Bluetooth headphones. While there are plenty of Jaybird Bluebuds X2 reviews, the model is not really new. In fact, it has a few predecessors that were just as popular.

In fact, when I first saw the new release, I could barely tell the difference between its appearance and its predecessors. However, it does come with a few improvements that can justify the higher price. Obviously, going into smaller details will help you understand why the newer release is better.

Whether it comes to good aspects or negative things, knowing what to expect can help you make an informed decision. Besides, there are a few considerations that most fans did not expect – despite Jaybird having a loyal fan base.

Buying sports headphones

What do you need to look for in sports headphones and how does Jaybird Bluebuds X2 can cope with these requirements?

Going wireless is a must. Whether you jog and the wire keeps hitting you in the chin, you do abs exercises or you lift some weights, wires will be a nightmare – no doubts about it.

Other than that, in-ear headphones represent a better choice. Not only are they lightweight, but they are more secure than bulky headphones or those covering the ear, which will most likely slip out as you move.

Fortunately, Jaybird Bluebuds X2 covers both of these essential aspects.

What makes Jaybird Bluebuds X2 so good

Jaybird has an impressive fan base. Besides, there are lots of positive Jaybird Bluebuds X2 reviews, regardless of where you want to buy from. How come?

Compared to the competition – and even the previous generation, this new model comes with a more comfortable design. You do need comfort when it comes to in ear designs. Also, the battery life will surprise you – up to eight hours. You can charge them overnight only, as they should last over a day with breaks.

Sweat proofing has also been improved, not to mention the carrying case.

Who should get Jaybird Bluebuds X2

Generally speaking, sports headphones come with a limited battery – up to a few hours. After all, how long do you want to workout? Running headphones carry similar characteristics – a few hours.

When Jaybird added a solid 100mAh battery, it did it to increase the usability of this set. You can use the headphones as you head to the gym, during your workout, on your way back, walking to the mall, going downtown to meet your friends and on your way back home. Altogether, if you do the math, you will use them for four or five hours throughout an entire day.

Since the battery is so efficient, they are just as handy for professional drivers who simply want wireless communication throughout their shifts.

Technical features and specifications

Now, what should you know in terms of features and specs?

Sealing music in

The Jaybird Bluebuds X2 set comes with tight seals to trap music in. For me personally, the best way to use it involves turning the tip just a bit forward. I pushed it up in the ear, while the wrap went around it. Matching this style with the Comply ear tips – covered in foam, the fit is perfect.

Obviously, some people may find a different option. The point is – you have to play with these headphones and find out what works for you.

Sound performance

The sound performance is flawless for in ear headphones. The sound stage is simply excellent, regardless of what kind of music you like. You will love the bass accuracy – just punchy enough for music.

You will find highs and mids extremely clear and clean. In fact, I find them a bit warmer than in other similar headphones – an aspect that you can only spot in top notch headphones.

Connectivity

The Bluetooth connectivity can reach around 30 feet. You can go further, but I feel like the signal is partially lost. When close to the device, call quality is amazing.

Furthermore, this set comes with a voice assistant – Jenna. She will not do too much for you, but she has some charming audio prompts – a small thing, but a lasting impression. Good job, Jaybird!

Battery

The battery life is advertised to go up to eight hours. Well, I have managed to squeeze over 10 hours one day – obviously, on and off. This is what makes Jaybird stands out in the crowd. The closest competitor can only go for around six hours.

Final words

The bottom line, it is easy to understand why you can find so many positive Jaybird Bluebuds X2 reviews. It is no surprise why Jaybird has such a loyal fan base – it puts quality first and it delivers it in a professional manner. At this point, there is no competition if you want performance and convenience.

Klipsch R 10SW Review – The Truth Behind A Leading Subwoofer

by Ronnie October 2, 2019
written by Ronnie
Klipsch R 10SW

Klipsch R 10SW is currently one of the leading subwoofers on the market. It is part of a more extensive segment of products launched by the reputable manufacturer. While it may not be the newest on the market (several more recent versions have been released already), it is still a solid player that draws lots of attention.

My Klipsch R 10SW review is based on my curiosity to understand why lots of people still buy this model when slightly newer releases are already out. Is it the fear of trying something new that might be faulty? Is it the reputation of R 10SW that leaves no room for mistakes?

Go through my review to understand the strengths that keep this subwoofer on top of its competition and find out who it is recommended to.

Klipsch Reference R 10sw 300w Home Cinema Powered Subwoofer

What makes Klipsch R10SW a top player

You know you cannot go wrong with something that has been tested and recommended by thousands of users, right? To me, this is sound enough to convince me, but at the same time, a few details can help you determine whether the subwoofer is right for you.

The LFE inputs and line are some of the reasons behind its popularity. Basically, it is compatible with pretty much any home cinema system, even if you have an older one that needs an upgrade. Other than that, the subwoofer is entirely digital. Music is clean and clear – as close as possible to the original source.

Last, but not least, everyone will check the price too. Compared to its competition (which is poor in features anyway), the subwoofer is extremely affordable. Its value for money is excellent, hence its popularity.

Who should buy Klipsch R10SW

Klipsch R 10SW is recommended for a series of applications. If you have a home cinema system, it will rock your world. It will take your audio experience to a new level and can enhance small details that are unnoticeable otherwise. It makes no difference if you have a new or an old fashioned system – this subwoofer is clearly an upgrade.

Second, you may even find a Klipsch R 10SW review or two about its business capabilities. It is not suitable for large environments like concerts though, but it can seriously boost experience in a small place, such as a concert in a small pub.

Last, but not least, those who take their music seriously will love the upgrade.

Technical specifications and features

Now, what should you be aware of in terms of features?

Design

Made of polymer veneer and painted black, the subwoofer is subtle and elegant. It features a copper cone in the central part for a colorful effect. On the back, you have all the inputs, as well as a few logos on a painted element.

It only weighs 25 pounds, so it is portable and can go anywhere. The black design also makes it suitable in terms of style.

Setup and configuration

The setup is straightforward – no experience required. I liked how detailed the user manual is. You can place it on various stands or under furniture shelves without worrying about trembling.

It does not have any rigging points, so it cannot go on a wall or a ceiling. You can use wireless connectivity or a classic AC adapter. Everything is located at the back.

Sound performance and quality

The deep bass is one of the results that make Klipsch R 10SW such a widely appreciated subwoofer. The frequency response will fluctuate widely based on the sound. It can go anywhere from 32Hz to 120Hz. When it comes to the actual reproduction of music, you will love the clear and neat sound – all because of a 300 watt amplifier.

The rigid injection modeled woofer represents the main feature. It boosts the low frequency and prevents all kinds of sound distortions. If you have used other subwoofers before, you can kiss rumbling noises goodbye.

Extras

The 150 watt nominal power amplifier is flawless – it can go up to 300 watts. You can change the phase control, as well as the bass. This kind of customization is great, as you can achieve the right sound in any room.

Other than that, some of the inputs are designed for low frequency effects, as well as line level effects. This feature adds to the compatibility with lots of home cinemas and receivers – including old fashioned models.

The volume knob is not on the front, but it is still easy to reach. Moreover, you have a very long cord – yay – and an automatic turn on/off feature.

Final words

Bottom line, I think my Klipsch R 10SW review makes it obvious. For the price and quality, this subwoofer is excellent. It is elegant and can fit anywhere. It may not have the highest characteristics on the market, but it has what it needs to dominate the segment and make everyone happy.

LG 32GK650F-B Review – What Makes A Great Gaming Monitor

by Ronnie October 2, 2019
written by Ronnie
LG 32GK650F B 32 QHD Gaming Monitor with 144Hz

While lots of companies try to target a particular segment in the gaming monitor market, most of them fail. Basically, you can find good and high-end monitors that will cost a lot, as well as cheap monitors – you get what you pay for.

This LG 32GK650F-B review is about a monitor that can match both categories. Finally, someone has done it. I found this model to be in the perfect range of affordable monitors, yet it is still qualitative enough to ensure a top-notch gaming experience.

Let me make it clear though – do not expect luxury from it. It cannot make French fries for you or compare to top range monitors that cost more than a car. But… It will be close. And the best part is that all these are available at a fraction of the price of top alternatives.

Now, what should you know before wasting some money?

LG 32GK650F-B

Things to look for in a gaming monitor

While often a matter of milliseconds, the refresh rate makes a difference when you play a shooter game, for example. A big leap is from 60Hz to 144Hz, the more modern standard today. You can also opt for 240Hz, but the value for money is not that good yet. This unit comes with a refresh rate of 144Hz.

The contrast is not to be overlooked either, not to mention the design, picture quality and adjustability – you got lots of it with this one.

Do not ignore the size – bigger is not always better. Besides, the size is directly responsible for the resolution as well. Most gamers agree that anything around 30 inches is great for gaming. This unit is 32 inches in diagonal – bit better, especially for someone who upgrades from a smaller monitor, like I did.

What to use the LG 32GK650F-B for

My LG 32GK650F-B review targets a gaming monitor. For gaming, it is somewhere in the top middle range. In other words, it has some features that you can only find in high end models, but it is cost efficient.

Sure, it makes a good choice for those who are obsessed with contrasts and quality standards too, but then, I do not think it is too justified.

What makes the LG 32GK650F-B so special?

Apart from all the small tech specifications, there are a few things that make this LG monitor stand out in the crowd.

For example, I found the black aspects to be deep and uniform. Black is black, whether you play in daylight or at night. You will love it.

Second, I loved the excellent low input lag. Even when BFI or FreeSync are enabled, the input lag stays low.

Features and specifications

So, what are the main things to know about the LG 32GK650F-B?

Sizing and resolution

The monitor is almost 32 inches in diagonal. It features a classic 16:9 aspect ratio with 3.7MP and a top notch 2560×1440 pixel resolution. The pixel resolution is set at 93 PPI.

I have not thought about it, but the screen area measures 428 square inches – it is quite a lot when compared to other gaming monitors in this range.

Style and design

I have tested LG’s 32GK850G-B model before and I must say this one is quite similar. The design is great and features solid ergonomics. The stand is compact and simple. While it is sturdy, there could be a little wobbling at times.

The display is nice and comes with bezels on three sides. It is not curved – great for those who hate this design.

It weighs just over 14 pounds.

Ergonomics

The stand has great ergonomics and the monitor will not disappoint you either. The height adjustment allows moving the unit over 4.3 inches. You can also switch to landscape or portrait – perfect for those who want to use a multi monitor system.

The tilt range is a bit limited – -15 to 5 degrees. The swivel range is bigger – -15 to 15 degrees. You are less likely to use these settings too much once you find the perfect position for your games anyway.

Connectivity

Connectivity is basic, but think about it – what is the point of having things just because you might need them one day? Forget about DVI, VGA and USB ports that you will never use on a monitor. Instead, you have a classic 3.5 millimeter analog audio out port, a couple of HDMI 2.0 ports and a display port – DP 1.2.

Final words

Bottom line, this LG 32GK650F-B review should give you all the details you need to understand why this monitor is a front runner today. It is my favorite monitor in this segment and trust me, I am picky with technology.

This is an affordable high refresh gaming unit. The 1440p 144Hz combo is ideal in gaming and more importantly, we can get all these features at a proper price.

LG Nano 8 Series Review – Discovering Innovation

by Ronnie October 2, 2019
written by Ronnie
LG Nano 8 Series

Whether it comes to incredibly accurate colors, top-notch processors or a proper home cinema experience, investing in the right screen is a must. Basically, there are certain considerations you need to think about, as well as the market evolution to determine its cost efficiency – both now and in the future.

My LG Nano 8 Series review comes after many months of debating. I did need a new screen, but I had no idea what would make me happy. Besides, I wanted something that is cool now, but will be cool within years too, if you know what I mean.

All in all, if you want a beautiful screen for the living room, supremely smart connectivity and well upscaled content, you better go through this entire review before making a final decision. So, what do you need to know about LG’s top notch technology?

Few tips when considering a new TV

Looking for a future proof set? Do not settle for anything with a resolution smaller than 4K. While 8K is also out, it is still too early to call it a trend. Your new 4K unit will most likely run the market for many years.

On another note, you need a top 120Hz refresh rate or higher. Again, it is all about having a future proof unit, as well as a quality experience.

A HDR compatible set is a must if you want a proper contrast and great colors. It is not a general rule, but I would not settle for something without such high end features.

Finally, go for at least a couple of HDMI ports.

LG Nano 8 Series 4K 65 inch Class Smart UHD NanoCell TV

Who could use the LG Nano 8 Series

It is only my humble opinion, but I think LG Nano 8 Series is currently the most cost efficient unit on the market. It is great for those who want a proper TV experience, be it for movies, games or just the news.

However, to be honest, I would not buy it for my 83 year old grandmother who only watches a couple of soap operas and the daily news. On the same note, it is not the best choice for your kid’s bedroom – unless they are avid gamers.

What makes the LG Nano 8 Series so special

LG has come up with a super easy setup – you do not need any experience or knowledge. Connecting to your WiFi system is intuitive and simple as well. But what makes it unbelievable is the picture quality that LG has managed to achieve.

The image is extremely bright (not disturbing though), while the colors and details are sharp and clearly visible. If you upgrade from an older TV, you will be stunned.

Features and specifications

My LG Nano 8 Series review will mostly focus on things that matter to the average TV buyer, rather than the avid gamer or tech freak.

Assistance technology

LG is the first manufacturer to integrate both Alexa and Google Assistant. While other companies will follow, LG is the pioneer, so those engineers know how to do it better than anyone. If you have one of these assistants, you will love the convenience.

Some features might require third party subscriptions though. Also, the service is limited to a few languages only.

Artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence is the future. This model comes with an astonishing Alpha 7 Gen 2 Intelligent processor. It is boosted by artificial intelligence, so do not be surprised to find out how intuitive it is after using the TV for a few times.

Furthermore, the system comes with better colors, action and images than most other units in this range.

Dolby capabilities

The LG Nano 8 Series has been enhanced with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos capabilities. What does it mean? The picture is vivid and clear, leaving no room for foggy or sketchy areas. On the other hand, the audio is powerful, clean and clear, regardless of the volume. You will literally feel like you are in the middle of the action.

With these aspects in mind, the TV was perfect for my little personalized home cinema system. Lights off, fun on.

Other technologies

The more I discovered about this TV, the more impressed I was. Basically, you have a wide viewing angle – IPS technology, as well as dimming technologies with local control. They bring in the optimal balance of darks, lights, and contrast. It is worth mentioning HDR capabilities too, plus the HDMI ports and the 120Hz refresh rate.

Final words

In conclusion, I hope my LG Nano 8 Series review will clear things out for you. LG has designed a TV that stands out in the crowd. Not only is it modern for today’s standards, but it is also expected to face the test of time in terms of innovation, features and quality standards.

Onkyo TX NR747 Reviews – What Is All The Fuss About?

by Ronnie October 2, 2019
written by Ronnie
Onkyo TX NR747

Lots of things and technologies have changed for AV receivers over the past years. If back in the day you only needed a basic model with HDMI, you need to take more aspects into consideration these days. Plus, there are plenty of new technologies that can make the difference in the long run.

Based on a series of Onkyo TX NR747 reviews (model TX NR646 included too), these models are groundbreaking. Coming as a result of a mix between Pioneer and Onkyo, they started dominating the market from the moment they were released.

Luckily for me, I got my hands on a new TX NR747 receiver and worked it out a little to see what it can do. Despite going through its features, I must say nothing compares to trying it out in real life. This is what I found out about it…

Buying a good AV receiver

The number of inputs is probably your top consideration. The more of them you have, the more devices you can hook in. You need enough inputs and outputs for all the equipment, plus some extras for various situations.

The power is just as important – more power provides a cleaner result, not to mention a higher quality. As for the interface, it allows the unit to determine the perfect quality standards for a top notch experience.

Last, but not least, I believe an intuitive interface is a must and the TX NR747 model is extremely user friendly. It is pointless to have everything if you have to check the manual whenever you need to use something, right?

Onkyo TX NR747 Review

Who Onkyo TX NR747 is more suitable for

This is the main question – before I even get into details. Who is this receiver for? If you only want to stream a movie every once in a while or you just need a better audio result, you could achieve all these without a high end AV receiver – the cheapest one on the market could get the job done.

Now, if you want a bit of quality, you are in the right place. Most Onkyo TX NR747 reviews claim on quality, a future proof result and great sound. Basically, I got mine for a small home cinema I have at home. If you have such a place or you like to watch quality movies on a regular basis, a good AV receiver will make the difference.

What makes Onkyo TX NR747 stand out

The so called multidimensional sound is the aspect that drew my attention straight away. The receiver can use both DTS:X and Dolby Atmos. You have a stunning audio quality that can rock your experience when mixed with these technologies.

The device literally takes the sound and puts it in the right part of the room, depending on what it represents. Every film will feel extremely realistic – something that most of the competition has failed to achieve so far.

Features and specifications

Now, what about other specs?

Inputs and outputs

Like I said, inputs and outputs should always be checked upfront. This receiver comes with eight HDMI inputs, as well as two HDMI outputs – HDMI 2.0a only. It is worth noting that the first three inputs also accept HDCP 2.2 connections.

What does it mean? You can watch 4K movies through an Ultra HD Blu-Ray unit for a perfect definition at just 60Hz. Sure, you have lots of other connections – three digital inputs, eight analogue inputs and a USB port, but these ones are a must.

Streaming capabilities

Onkyo TX NR747 comes with both Bluetooth and AirPlay capabilities. You can also connect it to the Internet. Whether you want to stream over Deezer, Spotify or other portals, you can do it over the Internet. Streaming media from a computer is just a simple through DLNA.

Feel free to stream anything – not higher than DSD 4.5MHz though.

THX Select2 Plus

The THX Select2 Plus badge is only given to particular products after extremely rigorous tests. Practically, this standard is proof of unusually high standards in terms of quality, power, and performance. It is more common from heavy-duty products to get it, but it is not as common in-home receivers.

Having this badge implies the natural feeling of an actual cinema in the comfort of your home.

Final words

As a short final conclusion, there are lots of positive Onkyo TX NR747 reviews to convince you about the capabilities of this AV receiver. In my opinion, using it yourself is probably the best way to understand what a massive jump it is from other similar units.

It represents a multipurpose item that sounds perfect and provides access to the unique kingdom of multidimensional home theater while enjoying 4K films in your own home cinema. It is an investment in quality, but also an investment in a future proof item that will maintain its high standards for many years.

Panasonic TC-65CX400U Review – Is This The Best Entry Level TV On The Market?

by Ronnie October 2, 2019
written by Ronnie

Panasonic’s TC-65CX400U came as a surprise to the TV industry. The TV was released as part of a value line with basic features, soon after the manufacturer came up with some high-end models. All in all, this new line comes with great performance, good features for the average user and cost-efficiency.

Just because this is a step down from Panasonic’s previous line, it does not mean that it can be overlooked. In fact, you have solid smart connectivity, accurate colors and capabilities – just not so many bells and whistles, hence the lower price.

My TC-65CX400U review should give you all the information you require before making an informed decision. As you will find out, Panasonic has actually caused some surprise and confusion with this new set. Now, what exactly should you know about it before spending your money?

Who the TC-65CX400U TV is for

Panasonic TC-65CX400U

Simply put, this new TV set is for mixed users. Whether you like to watch TV, enhance your home cinema system, play some games or just get your first TV for a new house, this model will make things work for you.

On the other hand, if you are an avid gamer who needs every millisecond they can get during a game, you might look elsewhere and spend a few times more on a high-end model. This one is good too, so sometimes, it might be your personal skill that needs an upgrade.

Also, if you tend to buy the newest mobile phones, audio systems, monitors and TVs as they come out, you will have to spend more. This TV set is above average and will satisfy 95% of all users, but it will not satisfy picky users who want the best of the best.

What makes the TC-65CX400U a good choice

While there are quite a few good options in this range, I think the TC-65CX400U TV stands out through its colors and screen.

I loved its color setup – it is purely excellent. It is realistic and clean, but it can also compete against more expensive sets.

Most people do not pay attention to it, but screen uniformity is just as good.

Tips on buying a new TV set

Thinking to buy a new TV set and my TC-65CX400U review makes it appealing? Even if you want something else, here are a few tips that will make you understand why this set is a good choice.

You need at least a couple of HDMI ports. Do not accept less than that.

Ignore the contrast-ratio number. Those specifications are nothing but showoffs. Manufacturers can play with numbers too, so trust your eyes only. Also, do not take the “smartness” into consideration. Most TVs today are smart TVs, so this is not such a big deal anymore.

You might need an audio system too. TV speakers are not as good as the image because they are thin now, so solid speakers are simply left behind.

Features and specifications

Now, what makes Panasonic TC-65CX400U such a good choice?

Motion

With a native refresh rate of 120Hz, the TC-65CX400U will clear blurring out. The manufacturer has come up with a new technology – Motion Estimation Compensation – to provide a soap opera effect. The image is dramatically smoothed that the picture looks like an unreal live video. Some people hate it, while others may like it – fully adjustable though.

Inputs

Panasonic goes a bit further when it comes to inputs – you have three HDMI 2.0 inputs. There are also a couple of USB ports, as well as an optical audio input, a cable connection and an Ethernet port. A composite video connection is also there, on the left side of the unit.

There are a few buttons – power, volume, channel and input – on the right side of the TV too.

Viewing angle

Some might say that the viewing angle is one of the things that makes this TV an entry level model. To the average user, it will not make such a difference. You can have the TV in the middle and a few couches around it. Go to a 50 degree angle and you can still watch it. If you sit at 45 degrees or less, the color will degrade a bit. It is all about the layout of your room and the distance to the TV.

Design

Measuring 65 inches in size and featuring a thin design, the TC-65CX400U is classic. There is a black bezel border around the screen. It sits on some silver feet, but it can also be wall-mounted.

Sound is good for its thin profile. It will provide a nice experience, but if you truly want a home cinema feeling, you will need a separate audio system.

Final words

Bottom line, I hope this TC-65CX400U review will make it clear for you – Panasonic concentrated on image quality at an affordable rate and did a great job. Colors can compare to higher end models costing more, although you do not always have the possibility to adjust everything in the smallest details.

Samsung NU6900 43 Review – Is Samsung’s Entry Level TV Worth It?

by Ronnie October 2, 2019
written by Ronnie
Samsung NU6900 43

Samsung – a leading name in electronics. Television sets – an extremely diversified market where everyone claims to be the best. Choosing a new TV can be a challenge, no doubt about it. Hopefully, my Samsung NU6900 43 review will help you clear out some of the confusion.

Samsung’s release is relatively cheap when compared to other units that can do similar things. It feels a bit sketchy, right? I thought the same, so I started researching the market and digging a bit deeper. I have to tell you – it is different from what you expect.

But before going into smaller details, who is this TV for, what makes it so special and what should you look for before spending your money? Only then you can make a properly informed decision, rather than spending money randomly.

Samsung NU6900

Who the Samsung NU6900 43 set is for

So, who should get this TV? It is such a broad category of people who could use this TV, so I will just make it easier – here is who should not buy it.

If you are an avid gamer who spends hours a day paying attention to every little detail and perhaps playing with friends too, this may not be the most advanced unit in the world for you. While it will provide a great experience, you can find better for a little more money.

Second, if you are one of those people who want the newest and “bestest” thing on the market, the NU6900 43 is not for you. This is an entry level set with quality features. I would categorize it above average, but not high end.

Anyone else? Perfect.

Pros of Samsung NU6900 43

Just like any other TV set out there, this one comes with some pluses that many others cannot match. The contrast is quite good and what makes it even better is the fact that it is native. It is not enhanced with all kinds of technologies, but native.

Now, I had to mention this in my Samsung NU6900 43 review – the input lag is extremely low. At this point, the NU6900 43 model can easily compete with high-end models that cost twice or thrice as much.

Samsung NU6900 43” 4K Smart TV

What makes Samsung NU6900 43 an entry-level set

Some would say it is the price. Fine, but why is the price low? There are a few minutes that most people will overlook – I am not talking about gamers or perfectionists here. For example, you only have two HDMI ports – more than enough for most people, but not for tech freaks.

Other than that, the picture is not the best when viewed at an angle, so you should stay in its range. It is still good at 50 or 130 degrees, but it will not impress you at 30 or 150 degrees.

Technical features

Now, what kind of tech specs should you expect?

Design and build

The design is classic – thin and wide. Watched from profile, the bottom is a bit thicker than the top. It is similar to the NU7100 model, which is a high end alternative that costs much more. The casing is plastic, but that should not put you off. As for the stand, there are two – one on each side. You can also wall mount it without protruding too much.

It is not a curved screen

Picture quality

The picture quality is quite good for this price. The contrast ratio is excellent and accuracy will not disappoint you. Glare could be a problem if the light source is too intense though. Also, since the color gamut is not wide enough, HDR content will be a bit limited.

In my opinion, you can achieve a perfect watching environment in a dim room. Do not expect luxury, but just good quality standards – suitable for everyday uses.

Motion

Motion is basic for TVs in this range. The response time is fast and can compete against better-rated units – 7.7 milliseconds at 80%. The refresh rate is set at 120Hz, which might cause flicker occasionally.

I found motion interpolation capabilities to be good, while the BFI feature will add to image quality and crispness.

Inputs

The low input lag is amazing. The TV can take most resolutions out there, as well as chroma 4:4:4. I often use it as a gaming monitor too. Also, connect the player to the receiver if you want to use a home stereo system. It prevents the TV taking the DTS for PCM.

Final words

I hope my Samsung NU6900 43 review has made it obvious – this TV is great for mixed everyday usage. It has a good image quality, as well as a good input lag. It is responsive and features a great native contrast – wonderful for both TV watching and gaming.

B&W 702 S2 Review – What Makes This Speaker System So Special

Whether you are trying to come up with your own home cinema or you need a proper audio system for parties, Bowers & Wilkins has always been a primary choice. Its CM series dominated the market in terms of sound quality and durability for quite a while.

It was hard to imagine that B&W could come with a better choice, but surprisingly enough, it did. In fact, I was stunned to “test drive” one of their recent releases, as I realized it takes sound standards to a brand new level. Besides, do not get me started on the actual design of these speakers.

This B&W 702 S2 review will give you all the details you need to know in order to decide whether the audio system is worth your money. Is it really a big upgrade from your current system? Does it have any drawbacks? Will it integrate within your home?

Deciding on an audio system

You need to know why you want an audio system before deciding whether or not you need this one. Is it gaming? Depth to your cinema experience? Maybe wireless connectivity?

Think about the space and current décor too. This set comes in multiple colors, such as white, brown and black. Can you fit in some tall, narrow and relatively bulky speakers?

Now, how about tech specifications? Things like harnessing and controlling resonances, cone displacement, dome tweeter impedance or resonance control networking will affect the final result.

Using the speakers

I think you better set your priorities straight before investing in such a speaker system. My B&W 702 S2 review will let you know what to expect from this set though. Normally, this system is for a few categories of people:

  • Heavy gamers
  • Home cinema owners
  • Party people
  • Audio quality freaks

If you just want an audio system to enhance your music experience while you clean the house or play a game once a week, perhaps you could do with something smaller.

Benefits of B&W 702 S2

The deep bass is certainly a plus. It is controlled and provides a crystal clear sound, regardless of the song. In my opinion, it is what makes this set stand out in the crowd.

To me, the overall design was a plus as well. You can fit this set into both traditional and modern households. Just make sure you get the right color and you cannot go wrong.

What makes B&W 702 S2 so special

B&W 702 S2 comes with some of the high-end features in products that cost up to five times more. For example, the 800 Diamond series from the same manufacturer costs more than an average car, while the B&W 702 S2 model costs about five times less.

To me, knowing that you can get all those technologies at a fraction of the price was the trigger.

Features of B&W 702 S2

So, what should you know about this set before buying it?

High frequencies

The body tweeter housing is entirely made of aluminum – one block, rather than more parts. As a direct consequence, you have a perfect acoustic optimization. Forget about resonances and other interferences that could affect your audio experience.

Pure audio

The pure sound will be the second thing to notice – after the actual design, of course. B&W has invested in precision and purity by coming up with a cone midrange driver under the Continuum trademark. The result?

Every detail can actually be heard. You will discover a smooth and perfectly accurate sound that nothing can beat.

Deep bass

The deep bass makes this set flawless. It is among its most recognizable advantages. How was it achieved? B&W has relied on an Aerofoil Profile bass cone. Not only was it designed with superior computer modeling technologies, but it also comes with variable thickness.

You have rigidity and stiffness when you need it, rather than a buzzing noise. The bass is not just deep, but it also feels dynamic.

Beautiful design

The design will most likely make a great first impression. There are three different styles you can choose from – satin white, rose nut and gloss black. Since I am a big fan of black, I obviously chose the gloss black option. The finish is simply superb – shiny, classic, but still futuristic.

The design is freestanding, so you can spread the set all around the main room. On a side note, let me mention that dust is more visible on black than on other colors.

Final words

As a short final conclusion, this B&W 702 S2 review should make it pretty clear for you. While, after all, this is a speaker system, there are certain technologies and aspects that make it superior to other similar options in the same range. Trying my best to describe it, I can agree that having it in person will give you a completely different idea.
